Judión Beans

Judión Beans

Judión, plump, white butter beans with a dense and creamy texture, and a mild flavour with notes of fresh peas. Firm and thin-skinned, these beans hold their shape excellently while cooking. These large butter beans are perfect for full-flavoured, spicy stews or casseroles, or can be mashed as a delicious alternative to potatoes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our beans are cooked simply in water and salt, before being packed in their cooking liquid, retaining flavour and moisture. Depending on the variety of pulse, this brine may be more or less starchy. Rinsing jarred beans is optional. A quick rinse to remove the brine can help reduce salt, but this cooking liquid can also work almost as a stock, to add flavour and thickness to soups and stews.

Yes, jarred beans are fully cooked and ready to eat straight from the jar. They’re a convenient and nutritious addition to salads, grain bowls, or dips.

Once opened, store your jarred beans in the fridge with their liquid in an airtight container. When refrigerated properly, they usually last 3–5 days.
