Pedrosillano chickpeas, firm small golden chickpeas with a nutty texture. These ready-cooked chickpeas are suited to a range of uses. Firm-textured, each chickpea keeps its integrity during cooking. This variety breaks down to a surprisingly light, soft paste in the mouth, with a creamy finish. The flavour is mild and beany with a gentle hint of fresh vegetables. With their attractive golden colour and their distinctively diminutive size, they are an excellent ingredient in salads or in a curry.

Are Pedrosillano chickpeas good for making humus?
In general these firm, nutty Pedrosillano chickpeas are not the best variety to use for making hummus. Their size and texture makes them ideal for adding to slow cooked, liquid dishes, providing a bit of bite and body to numerous recipes. For hummus, choose Lechoso chickpeas for the best texture.
